Nebraska Jack won his second straight Racing Under Saddle harness racing start on Saturday at Hiawatha Horse Park to remain perfect with Karoline Nielsen in the irons.
The aged trotting gelding held a two-hole position through the opening fractions of :29.3 and :59.4. He reeled in leader Waikiki Hanover (Marielle Enberg) and threatened to pass on the outside after finishing the third split in 1:30.2, but Nielsen tucked him back into the inside on the final turn.
Waikiki Hanover straightened for home with the lead with Nebraska Jack fanning two-wide at headstretch. Nebraska Jack tore through the leaderās advantage with cautious urging from Nielsen and rolled past Waikiki Hanover for a second career RUS victory in as many starts in 2:01.2. Waikiki Hanover finished second by a length and a half, 10 lengths clear of All Out Henry (Pam Forgie).
