The harness racing judges declared a no contest in the third race at Georgian Downs on Saturday (Jul. 8).
Powder Play unseated J. Bradley Harris on the first turn while off stride, and the resulting loose horse resulted in uncertainty and hesitation as the field entered the back half. Though the race was completed, the judges declared a no contest due the confusion.
According to Standardbred Canada, all horses and drivers were reported to be okay. Harris booked off the rest of his drives on the card.
Georgian Downs will race next on Tuesday, Jul. 11 at 7:15 p.m. EDT.
