SUMMERSIDE, PE – Nogreatmischief guarded the rail from the start and went all the way to the winner’s circle in the feature harness racing event on a special Wednesday evening card at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway.
Walter Cheverie steered the 10-year-old son of Bettors Delight to a 1:56.1 front-end score in the $2,900 featured pace winning over Hunger Pangs (Driven by Jason Hughes) and Best To Hurst (Adam Merner). Cheverie co-owns the trains the pacer with Brian Thompson of Charlottetown and Doug Oulton of Sackville, N.B.
NOGREATMISCHIEF REPLAY
Trainer Jennifer Doyle had the hot stable of the evening sending out four winners on the card from her Earnscliffe establishment. Doyle got the party started in race 4 with Southwind Bronn (Merner) winning in 1:57.4 followed by Messier Seelster (Merner) romping in 1:58.1 in race 5. Doyle then teamed up with Hughes to win races 10 and 13 with Chocolate Swirl in a 1:55.1 score then Winter Blast in a pocket pulling 1:56.3 mile, respectively.
Hughes had a total of four wins on the night as well winning with Cinder Angelina (2:00.2) for trainer Jansen Sweet and with Adventure Luck (1:59) from the Robert Williams stable.
Merner also clicked with Gascoigne Rocks (2:00.3) in race 2 for trainer Wade Sorrie for a driving triple.
Cornwall driver Corey MacPherson made three trips to the winner’s circle driving the Pat Murphy trained Magical Cowgirl (1:59), Piping Hot (1:59.3) for trainer Kyle Williams and Theycallmedude (1:56.1) from the Keith Campbell barn.
Live racing continues at Red Shores Charlottetown Thursday and Saturday evening at 6 P.M. and Sunday afternoon at 1 P.M. at Red Shores Summerside.
