Partyintheshadows won his fourth straight harness racing contest at Grand River Raceway on Friday and lowered his career best time for the fourth time in that spell.
The three-year-old Shadow Play colt sat behind leader First Glance (Mario Baillargeon), who cut fractions of :27.4, :57.1, and 1:25.4. Colin Kelly moved Partyintheshadows to the outside on the final turn and vaulted past First Glance to take the win in 1:54.1.
PARTYINTHESHADOWS REPLAY
Partyintheshadows started his winning streak on Jul. 30 with a 1:55.3 score at Grand River and returned the next week to win again in 1:55. He stepped up in class and defeated non-winners of $30,000 last five in 1:54.3 in the following start before winning Fridayās race at the same level.
Kyle Bossence trains Partyintheshadows for Brad Gray of Dundas, who owns and bred the horse. Partyintheshadows is five-for-11 this season and seven-for-17 lifetime.
Grand River Raceway hosts action again on Monday, Aug. 23 with a 10-race card starting at 6:30 p.m. EDT.
