Sicario (Holiday Road) made his 200th career appearance his 40th win on Saturday (Dec. 30) at Flamboro Downs in a wire-to-wire harness racing victory.
The gelding, one of trainer Richard Moreauās three winners on the night, set a mild tempo for Travis Henry with fractions of :28.1, :58.3, and 1:28.1. Jack Fire (Ed Hensley) plugged along first-over but quit going to the far turn. Flaunt It To Winit (J. Bradley Harris) took his shot from the pocket but was a half-length short of Sicario, who completed the victory in 1:58. Flaunt It To Winit was a clear second with Petro Angel (Samuel Fillion) three more lengths back in third.

Sicario, an eight-year-old, has earned $388,578 in his career. Moreau has trained the gelding since 2019. Pamela and John Hehn of Walkerton own Sicario, who went seven-for-40 this year.
Moreau also scored with Winning Muscle (Muscle Mass, Brett MacDonald, 1:59.4) and Marina Del Rey (Tobago Cays, Henry, 1:59.2). The trainer has no horses in to go on New Year’s Eve and will finish the year with 297 wins from 1,603 starts and $4,947,193 in earnings.
