With a dominant victory in the Georgian Downs feature on Tuesday, seven-year-old harness racing stallion Pedro Hanover is less than $8,000 away from half a million in lifetime earnings.
He went off at 1/9 and performed as the public expected. He led from the off for Colin Kelly and broke the beam on :28.1 and :58 first-half splits before powering clear of his rivals towards three-quarters in 1:25.4. The horse coasted to the finish while increasing his margin to win by six-and-a-quarter lengths in 1:54.2.
PEDRO HANOVER REPLAY
It was the Kyle Bossence traineeās second win in five this year. He won major stakes such as the Pennsylvania Sire Stakes Championship and Nassagaweya at two but made only three starts as a sophomore. He has continued to perform in the conditioned ranks for owner Brad Grey of Dundas and has won 16 of 63 career starts. The stallion has earned $492,025.
