Pemberton (Wheeling N Dealin) made it two-for-three on the season as the harness racing gelding captured the second leg of the New Holland Series at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Monday (Mar. 18).
After taking a seat third through the first quarter in :28, James MacDonald pushed Pemberton to the front. The seven-year-old reached the top before the half in :57.1 and held the lead to three-quarters in 1:26.3 with Pikachu Hanover (Doug McNair) on the march first-up. Pikachu Hanover chipped away coming down the stretch, and Locatelli (Chris Christoforou) emerged late for a charge, but Pemberton held him off by a length-and-a-half in the 1:55.2 victory. Pikachu Hanover was just back of Locatelli in third.
