Alberton – Whenever there's a sporting event such as harness racing in West Prince – or even outside of West Prince but involving a team form the area, Jason Rayner is usually there.
And there he was Saturday, in the stands at the Prince County Exhibition's matinee harness racing card, when the track announcer called him forward. The Cascumpec farmer, volunter photographer and exhibition director received the Harry O'Brien Memorial Award.
The award recognizes indiduals in West Prince who support and promote harness racing. Announcer Ross Gmble pointed out Rayner gives freely of his time to potograph sporting events in West Pirnce, and said he is a great supporter of the area's young athletes, "equine and otherwise."
