Pikachu Hanover (Andover Hall) brushed aside his conditioned rivals in the Monday evening (Jan. 23) feature at Woodbine Mohawk Park as part of a five-win performance from harness racing driver Louis-Philippe Roy.
The nine-year-old was on top all the way. He cut fractions of :28.4, :58, and 1:25.4, blasting through three-quarters while extending his gap. He thundered four lengths clear on cruise control for the 1:54.4 victory. Warrior One (Sylvain Filion) held on for second over Looks Like Moni (Anthony MacDonald).

Pikachu Hanoverās win was his 29th lifetime in 103 appearances. He has earned $469,749 and appears on the path to rejoin the top level at Mohawk Park. Gregg McNair trains the stallion for High Stakes Stable of Farmington Hills.
Roy was first four other times on the card. He and Mach Art In Motion (Mach Three) missed by a nose in the first but were promoted to the win after first-place finisher Private Scott was deemed to have interfered with them in the stretch. Dealin With Money (Wheelin N Dealin) was a two-length winner for Roy in the fourth, Mr Contestant (Winning Mister) by a length-and-quarter in the eighth, and Jimmyachance (Big Jim) completed the quintuple in the finale.
The first stakes series of the season ā the Blizzard Pacing Series ā will begin on the Thursday, Jan. 26 card at Woodbine Mohawk Park. First post is set for 7:00 p.m. EST.
