Powertrain (Shadow Play) bounced back from last week’s seventh-place finish to capture the $32,000 Preferred-2 Pace on Saturday (Feb. 17) at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
The harness racing gelding was quickest away and had tempo control through :27.1, :55.2, and 1:23 panels. Louis-Philippe Roy instructed him to go as they entered the stretch, and Powertrain led his rivals home. Poseidon Seelster (Tyler Moore) kicked in late but had to settle for the place cheque as Powertrain scored by a length under wraps in 1:51.1. Rockabilly Rebel N (Doug McNair) was third.
