Prince Edward Island Fall Series announced

Charlottetown, PE – Two new Fall Series were announced today (Oct. 24) by the PEI Harness Racing Industry Association. Sponsored by the MacRae Family, the events will be named in honor of the late Joe and Steven MacRae.

The JOE MACRAE MEMORIAL FALL SERIES 2023 is for HORSES AND MARES AGED 5 AND OVER, who as of October 31, 2023, are NON-WINNERS OF $4500 IN 2023 AND who have raced a MINIMUM OF twelve (12) starts on PEI in 2023. Elimination(s) will be held on Sunday, November 5th, 2023, for $3,000, with the Consolation for $3,200 and the Final for $4,500 being held on Sunday, November 12th, 2023.

 The STEVEN MACRAE MEMORIAL FALL SERIES 2023 is for HORSES and MARES AGED 5 AND younger, WHO, AS OF DATE OF DECLARATION, ARE NON-WINNERS OF $6,000 IN 2023, AND who have raced a MINIMUM OF 10 STARTS ON PEI in 2023. Elimination(s) will be held on Saturday, November 25^th, 2023 for a purse of $3000, with the Consolation for $3,200, and the Final for $4,500 both held on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023.

 All events will be raced at Red Shores at the Charlottetown Driving Park, with NO NOMINATION OR STARTING FEE. In the event there is enough entries to fill both a horse/ gelding and mares event, entries will be separated by sex.
