Punchesinbunches perfect for Schweitzer

Punchesinbunches (Dali) extended his perfect career record to three in a romp on Monday (Dec. 12) at The Raceway at the Western Fair District, giving owner/trainer/breeder Doug Schweitzer his fourth win of the year.

Punchesinbunches fired to the front from third at the midway point for Garrett Rooney and tore open a six-length gap in the third panel. The colt cruised to the wire from there, scoring by four-and-three-quarter lengths in 1:59.

Schweitzer debuted the colt on Nov. 21 in a win in London. The two-year-old has been the only flagbearer for the horseman after Colorado Buck – who is entered for a qualifier on Dec. 15 – entered a layoff in June.

The Raceway at The Western Fair District will see racing next on Tuesday, Dec. 13 with an 11-race program beginning at 5:50 p.m. EST.
