Quartet of Outlaws makes up super

Outlaws were out in force in the Wednesday (Aug. 24) finale at Track On 2 with four products of breeder Outlaw Stable finishing 1-4.

You Name It (Tyson Jacoby) led through the first half, laying down :28.4 and :57.4 fractions. Outlawstormyweather (David Kelly) led the charge for team Outlaw, pushing first-up just before the half, and Outlaw Allie Oops (Blue Burner, Jamie Gray) moved onto her cover.

Outlawstormyweather took the lead just past three-quarters in 1:25.4 and headed the cavalry charge down the lane. Her Outlaw kinswomen were faster home though, and Outlaw Allie Oops charged past in mid-stretch. Outlaw Sharktastic (Nathan Sobey) weaved through traffic to challenge in the final eighth, but Outlaw Allie Oops stayed strong to take the victory in 1:54.3.

Outlaw Sharktastic was a half-length back at the wire. Outlaw Blue Isle (Logan Gillis) surged late from the back for show. Outlawstormyweather finished fourth. The $1 superfecta returned $493.80.

OUTLAW ALLIE OOPS REPALY

Joe Ratchford of Rockeyview County trains Outlaw Allie Oops and co-owns the six-year-old with Willie Wychopen of St. Paul. The mare has won 16 times and has earned $73,887 in 53 lifetime appearances.

Kelly was the day’s top reinsman with three wins in the card’s seven races.
