Racing Forthe Mark extended her winning streak to five in another dominant victory as she took on Woodbine Mohawk Park harness racing competition on Tuesday after shipping in from Rideau Carleton.
Driver Louis-Philippe Roy sat the Racing Hill filly in the pocket early as the field of six trudged through the sloppy track to a :28.1 first quarter mile. Racing Forthe Mark pulled out into the wind and quickly cleared to the front nearing three eighths.
There was little movement to the half in :57.2. Several backfield horses shifted on and off the pylons in the third panel, which was completed in 1:26.2, but none had a chance of catching Racing Forthe Mark. The filly stormed away under mild urging in the stretch, blowing out her opponents by seven lengths in a 1:54.3 victory.
Countercurrency (Sylvain Filion) emerged with the place cheque after a blanket finish for second. Lady Akila (Scott Young) was third.
