Easy Flyer (Pang Shui) won his second start in four days on Wednesday (May 25) at The Raceway at Western Fair District for conditioner Cassidy Schneider after being claimed back on May 11.
The gelding was the victim of an early shuffle and was still boxed in fourth entering the stretch. Driver Travis Henry found Easy Flyer daylight in the dying stages, and the gelding dashed past three rivals to win in 1:57.3. He surged three-quarters-of-a-length clear of Barrys Shelby (Colin Kelly). The win price was $2.80.
EASY FLYER REPLAY
Schneider was previously Easy Flyerās trainer for two stints. She had care of him from Nov. 2020 to Jan. 2022 before the horse was claimed away from owner Colonel Schneider Jr. on Jan. 5. Schneider took the horse back on Feb. 25, and the gelding scored three times before Michael Stamp claimed him on Apr. 6. Schneider Jr. then forked over $7,000 to bring the gelding back on May 11. The horse won his third debut for the Schneider barn on May 22 at Clinton Raceway, three days before his win on Wednesday. He has won 26 times in 132 career tries and has earned $129,762. His most recent winning time was his best of the season so far.
Cassidy Schneider is 39-for-241 so far this season, her third as a trainer. She has already surpassed her previous best mark of 28 wins in 2021.
Henry drove to three wins on the day. His performance was bested only by a Tyler Borth grand slam.
Next up at The Raceway at Western Fair District is Camluck Classic night on Friday, May 27. First post will be 6:50 p.m. EDT.
