CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Roll Em (Time To Roll) was fired up to win in the Saturday (Oct. 14) afternoon harness racing Preferred Pace at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
Driver Marc Campbell placed the Brent Campbell trainee on the lead in the $3,800 Preferred Pace and led at every call through fractions of 28.1, 57.2, 1:26 and 1:53.3 over a track rated one-second off. Rollwithhottytoddy (Driven by Myles Heffernan Sr.) was four-lengths back in second with Blood Money (Gilles Barrieau) third. The winner is co-owned by trainer Campbell along with Brady Doyle, Ryan MacLeod and Savage Stable.
Marc Campbell reined four winners on the afternoon card to put his win total at 99 for the season, nine wins back of Jason Hughes at 108. Driver Campbell’s wins included the Roy Reynolds trained Rockin Novel (1:59.2), Zack The Men (1:59) for trainer Mike MacDonald and Baconabiscuit (1:56.2) from the Stacey Darrach barn.
Corey MacPherson doubled up from his own Charlottetown stable as a trainer-driver with Cheekie Play (2:00.3) and The Big Chase (1:58.3).
The duo of driver Brodie MacPhee and trainer Tom Weatherbie celebrated two wins as Fern Hill General (1:55.2) won race 9 and Island Beach Boy (1:57.1) captured the race 14 finale.
Driver Ken Murphy and trainer Clifford Murphy teamed up for a double with The Mad Dragon (1:59.1) and Tango Seelster (1:57.1).
The $3,300 Fillies and Mares top pace went to the Bo Ford trained Share The Moment (Barrieau) with a 1:56.1 mile for owners Luke Beck and Scott Bridges.
