CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – With a first-over advance at the end of the mile, Filly Forty Seven reached up to win the Saturday afternoon harness racing featured Fillies and Mares Preferred at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
Marc Campbell was at the lines of his trainee for owners Cory Carver, Alan MacDonald and Katelyn Smallwood as Filly Forty Seven (Proven Lover) got up for a quarter-length decision in 1:58. She paid $13.90 to win.
The $3,100 class saw Ladylike (David Dowling) finish second ahead of Ms Moyse (Adam Merner) to complete the $102.70 triactor.
Campbell also scored driving wins with Thats Mia Bad (1:59.3) for trainer Jay Noye and in the $2,700 Open Trot with Freddie (2:00.1) from his own Orwell stable.
Jason Hughes, Corey MacPherson and Adam Merner recorded driving doubles on the afternoon.
