CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – The finest pacers in Eastern Canada will resume their rivalry in the Saturday evening preferred pace at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

The 10-dash Saturday presentation has a 6 P.M. opening post time with the $3,400 preferred pace lining up in race 9 of the evening. Time To Dance gets rail control in the featured event in line to trainer Marc Campbell for owners Brent Campbell of Charlottetown and Matt McDonald of Edwards, Ont.

The son of A Rocknroll Dance saw his win streak snapped at eight straight last week by Avatar J, who gets post 5 in Saturday’s event with Kenny Arsenault picking up the catch drive. Avatar J’s regular pilot, Gilles Barrieau, will drive newcomer Day Delight from his own stable with post 2 on the starting gate after winning his Island debut last week in a snappy 1:54.2.

Also in the competitive field are the Colin Johnson trained duo of Moonwriter (Brodie MacPhee) and G A Speed Sammy (David Dowling). Race analyst Peter MacPhee sees a bounce back effort in the cards for Time To Dance in his Post Time Picks.

“Time To Dance saw his long win streak snapped at eight straight but all good things come to an end,” MacPhee said. “He lands on the rail and we’re betting Marc will want to boss it so if they do clear to the lead get set for a coast-to-coast score.”

Former Atlantic champion Sock It Away returns to action in the evening back-up pace in race 7. Campbell gets the catch driving call for trainer Kevin MacLean and owner Reg MacPherson of Stratford from post 6 in the $2,700 class. Burn Out Hanover (Corey MacPherson) is the morning line favourite in the event from post 3 fresh off a 1:55 romp by 14-lengths his last start.

Customers can purchase their tickets beginning at 12 P.M. at either Red Shores location. Catch the action live at the track or tune into the Race Day broadcast at Redshores.ca and wager online at HPIBet.com.
