CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Roll Em (Time To Roll) will control his destiny with post 1 in the Saturday evening harness racing feature at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
The capital oval will feature 13-dashes starting at 6 P.M. with the $4,000 Preferred Pace hitting the track in race 12.
Roll Em is the morning line favourite in that event from post 1 for driver Marc Campbell, trainer and co-owner Brent Campbell and co-owners Brady Doyle, Ryan MacLeod and Savage Stable. The six-year-old was a winner last week at Truro Raceway in Nova Scotia as he prepares for the Cecil Ladner Memorial on June 15 at Red Shores Charlottetown. Other major events on his dance card will no doubt include the July 20 Governor’s Plate Final Presented by Summerside Chrysler Dodge for $35,000 at Red Shores Summerside.
Another threat in the Saturday evening feature is Twin B Tuffenuff (To be driven by Gilles Barrieau) from post 5 from the Ron Matheson barn as that stallion prepares for the 2024 Atlantic Invitational Circuit.
All Bets On Tex holds down post 2 for driver Adam Merner and trainer Jeff Lilley. Also in the field are Blood Money (Mike Downey) and Fern Hill General (Brodie MacPhee).
The Post Time Picks like Roll Em on top.
“Roll Em Looks like he’s picking up right where he left off in 2023. That first start off the bench was an incredible second-place finish to Twin B Tuffenuff. He followed that up with an easy win in Truro and now he’s back on home turf with the pole position. I think he’s a lock in this spot.”
Race 6 is the Crane Supply Pace with Watchmaker favoured from post 7 for driver Mike Downey, trainer Ellen Stevenson and owner Dr. Mitchell Downey. The Hes Watching four-year-old has seven competitors including West Coast Kid (Myles Heffernan Sr.) and Rymar Jimbo (Ken Murphy).
For the Race Day broadcast, race programs and more go to the new Player Portal at Redshores.ca. Players in Canada who wager on Red Shores through HPIBET.COM in the month of June will have a chance to win a $250 account rebate and merchandise in the Drive to 65 promotional campaigns. This year marks the 65th running of the Gold Cup & Saucer Saturday August 17th.
