CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Screen Test provided part of a Corey MacPherson harness racing driving grand slam in the Sunday afternoon featured pace at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
The Ron Gass trained Screen Test was launched to the lead in the $3,050 Preferred 2 pace and won with ease in 1:56.4 over a track rated two seconds off. William Andrew of Calgary co-owns the son of Vertical Horizon along with the Kickin Horse Stable of York. Hunger Pangs (Driven by Marc Campbell) was second ahead of Chocolate Swirl (Ken Murphy).
MacPherson’s other wins came with Adventure Luck (1:58.4) for trainer Reece Williams as well as the Ron Matheson trained duo of Selkirk Echo (1:58.1) and Woodmere Fenn (1:58.4).
Matheson’s troops were on fire on the program with four wins and two seconds from six starters. His other winning scores were with Ashes To Ashes (1:58.2) and Howmacs Dragonator (1:58.3) both in line to Dale Spence.
Driver Ken Murphy was hard to beat on the front end of the program winning five out of the first seven races at the Capital oval. His wins came with Rymar Champ (2:00.1) for trainer Eric Doucette, Bashful Bree (2:03.1) for Brendan Mullen, The Yingyang (2:00.4) for Allan Gregory, Pillage And Burn (1:58.4) from the Trevor Hicken barn and Doc Darryl (1:58.1) for trainer Clifford Murphy.
