CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – With three straight wins in the rearview mirror, Tobins Brownie (Stonebridge Terror) looks for her fourth straight Fillies and Mares Preferred Pace harness racing victory in the Thursday evening feature at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
The city track has an 11-dash presentation starting at 6 P.M. on Thursday evening.
The $3,500 Fillies and Mares Preferred Pace headlines the card in race 10.
Tobins Brownie again gets handicapped to post 5 for trainer-driver David Dowling and owners Brittany Dowling, Sandra Weeks and Erroll Burgoyne, all of Springvale. The six-year-old mare was a former Atlantic Champion during her stakes career for Team Dowling.
Rosetown Mary looms the largest danger from post 2 for trainer-driver Corey MacPherson and owners Taylor MacPherson and Rosetown Stable. Ā The Pang Shui four-year-old was second in this class the past two weeks.
Also in the field are Ms Moyse (To be driven by Adam Merner) with post 1, The Ideal Huntress (Dr. Mitchell Downey) with post 3 and Share The Moment (Gilles Barrieau) from post 4.
The Post Times Picks are siding with Rosetown Mary to snap Tobins Brownie’s streak at three.
“Rosetown Mary has been knocking on the door the past few weeks but can’t quite find the winner’s circle. Draws the same spot and one of these times everything is going to go her way. We say tonight.”
Race 6 is the Stingray Pace with Woodmere Rollily the favourite for driver Merner, trainer Melissa Rennie and owners Marsha Knox and Cory Livingston.
