CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Overcoming interference at the start of the mile, Dreamfair Zenfire vanquished her foes in the stretch drive to win the final Thursday evening featured harness racing pace at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
Jason Hughes got the catch driving call behind the Marc Campbell trainee as Dreamfair Zenfire (Sunfire Blue Chip) prevailed in 1:55.2 for owners Ryan and Everett Macleod of Souris.
The $3,100 featured class saw The Time To Win (Driven by Ken Murphy) cut out the fractions of 28.2, 58 and 1:27.1 before being collared by Dreamfair Zenfire in the final strides. Third went to Larjon Legacy (Kenny Arsenault).
Cheeky Little Minx (Arsenault) was the boss in the $2,700 Open trot winning in 1:58.1 for trainer Gilles Barrieau and owners Wayne MacRae of Nova Scotia and Howmac Farms Ltd., of North Wiltshire.

David Dowling had the hot hands on the night winning three races starting with Mrs Dragonfire (2:00.1) for trainer Reg Ferguson, followed by Better Than Men (2:00.1) from the Todd Walsh barn and Despicto Lou (1:59.4) for Mike Dowling.
