CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Incredible Two trotted her way into the record books on the Thursday card at Charlottetown Driving Park, winning a $1,900 trot event in 1:59.2 for a new three-year-old filly trotting track record, erasing the former 1:59.4 standard held by Go With Her from the 2020 season.
Jason Hughes had the catch driving call for trainer Kenny Arsenault and owner Wade Peconi of Stanchel.
Incredible Two is a three-year-old filly by Angus Hall. She led from start to finish winning a romp by seven and three-quarter lengths.
The last 11 years have seen Marc Campbell on top of the harness racing driving standings and a three-bagger Thursday moves him closer to 12 straight at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
Campbell had a trio of trips to the winner’s circle on the Thursday card including an incredible 1:53.2 win with Dreamfair Zenfire (Sunfire Blue Chip) on a crisp Autumn evening in the $3,100 Fillies and Mares preferred pace.
Campbell trains the winning mare for Ryan and Everett MacLeod of Souris. Campbell also drove Catchafewrays to victory in 1:58.4 for trainer Ken Wilkie and hit the wire first with The Time To Win in 1:55.1 in the race 12 finale from the Ron Matheson barn.
The three victories brings Campbell to 95 wins on the season to sit 11 back of the injured Gilles Barrieau, who is expected to be out of action for 6-8 weeks. Matheson had two training wins on the night as Pacific Delight was a winner in 1:57.2 in line to Corey MacPherson in race 9.
Glider Man was on top in the $2,700 Open trot with a 1:58.1 win for driver Adam Merner, trainer and co-owner Jennifer Doyle and co-owner Danny Birt of Earnscliffe.
