CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – The wins keep on rolling for Woodmere Flojo (Arthur Blue Chip) as she wired her third straight Atlantic Sires Stakes harness racing division on Thursday evening (Aug. 15) during Old Home Week at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

Racing in a $15,540 Atlantic Sires Stakes A-division for two-year-old pacing fillies, Woodmere Flojo protected the rail all the way to a 1:57.4 score for driver Adam Merner, trainer Jamie Smith and owner Gowiththeflo Racing of Charlottetown. Muchtooyoungforyou (Driven by David Dowling) nabbed second ahead of Tobins Dream (Marc Campbell).

Saulsbrook Inferno (Flameproof Hanover) controlled her destiny in the second $15,540 A-division stopping the clock in 2:00.1 as part of a Earl Watts training double over Jafetica (Myles Heffernan Sr.) and Ruthless Diva (Merner). Dowling drove the winning filly for owners Windemere Farms, Hollis Newson, Sterling Buchanan and Jack Quinn.

The $6,000 B-divisions for two-year-old pacing fillies went to Windemere Classie (Campbell) for trainer Watts, Fern Hill Jubilee (Ken Murphy) from the Joe Baxter barn in 2:01.4, Lady Llamrei (Merner) in 1:59 for trainer Melissa Rennie and Elm Grove Talia in 2:00.4 for trainer-driver Dowling.

Tradition was ultra-impressive winning the Jeff May Memorial in a 1:53.3 front end score in line to a tripled up Merner for trainer Gordie Hennessey.

Brookdale Johnny went all the way in the Joe & Wal Hennessey Memorial with a 1:54.2 trip for driver Paul Langille and trainer Phil Sizer.

Live racing continues Friday with a special 4 P.M. post time featuring the James (Roach) MacGregor Gold Cup and Saucer consolation as well as the Lady Slipper stake for three-year-old pacing fillies.
