CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Sitting on a pair of seconds, Tobins Future (Arthur Blue Chip) will try to go one better in the Thursday evening featured harness racing pace at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

Corey MacPherson

The capital oval has a 12-dash presentation starting at 6 P.M., with the featured Grand Slam Of Curling Pace taking place in race 11 for a $2,900 purse.

Corey MacPherson will drive post 2 starter and morning line favourite Tobins Future for co-owner and trainer Jason Biggar and co-owner Robyn Wilson of Miscouche. The four-year-old mare has prevailed 11 times from 47 lifetime starts and was a runner-up her last two outings.

The ultra-consistent Woodmere Rollily (To be driven by Adam Merner) has post 5 in the field of seven with six wins, eight seconds and three thirds on the campaign.

Lady Devine (David Dowling) is listed as the second choice at 3-1 odds for leading trainer Jennifer Doyle.

Also in the field are Topville Angelina (Gilles Barrieau), Redland Misspretty (Paul Langille), Dollys Sky (Kyle Desroche) and Rock The Baby (Marc Campbell).

The Post Time Picks go a different route in settling for railsitter Topville Angelina to win at 4-1 in the morning line odds.

“We loved the way Topville Angelina raced two back drafting all the way before reaching up for the narrow victory. It looks like a similar trip could be in the works so we’re putting her in the win column.”

The $3,450 Open Trot hits the track in race 9 with Chasin Dreams (Merner) the top choice from post 3 for owner Elly Stafford of Conception Bay South, Newfoundland & Labrador. Landon Campbell trains the nine-year-old son of Credit Winner. Other top entries include Irish Ray (Marc Campbell) and New Legacy (Jason Hughes).

Race 4 is the Clan Sinclair Association of Canada pace. Georges Credit (Dowling) is the top pick from post 2 for owner-trainer Phil Kelly over post 1 starter Little Taggs (Merner) and Moonwriter (Keith Ford) from post 3.
