CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – There has been no stopping Fern Hill General so far in his career and the colt will have rail control as he returns to his home track for Atlantic Sires Stakes action Wednesday evening as part of Gold Cup Week racing at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

The Wednesday card has a 7 P.M. start time for the 12-dash event with Fern Hill General leaving off the rail in race 10 of the evening.

The dash is a $15,760 Atlantic Sires Stakes A-division for two-year-old pacing colts with the Earl Smith trained Fern Hill General riding an undefeated four-race career into the event for owners Peter Smith of Stratford and Gerald Morrissey of Vernon River.

Brodie MacPhee will supply the catch drive behind the son of Malicious. His top competitors are post 4 starter Middleton Terror for trainer-driver Don MacNeill and St Charlesfireball, who has post 2 with Marc Campbell in the seat.

The Post Time Picks in Wednesday’s card has Fern Hill General pegged to continue his win streak.

The other $15,760 A-division is in race 9 with Stash It Away coming into the event off a pair of wins including an A-division of the Sires Stakes his last start at Northside Downs in North Sydney, N.S. Corey MacPherson gets the drive this week for trainer Kevin MacLean and owner Reg MacPherson of Stratford with post 7.

Fern Hill Gusto is the morning line favourite in the dash from post 2 as the Stonebridge Terror colt looks for his first career win for trainer-driver Campbell.
