CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Undefeated Malevolent (Malicious) made his first trip to Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park a memorable one as he circled up and demolished his harness racing foes in Atlantic Sires Stakes action Wednesday evening (Aug. 14) during Old Home Week.

In line to trainer Paul Langille, the two-year-old pacing colt won his $15,480 Atlantic Sires Stakes A-division in 1:56.2 with a :27.3 closing panel. Malevolent now sits at three wins from as many starts for owners Debbie Francis and Rosanne Langille. Sergeant Crowley (Driven by Marc Campbell) was second with Saulsbrook Rockruf (Brodie MacPhee) third.

Phil My Beer (Shanghai Phil, Campbell) landed on top in the other $15,480 A-division for two-year-old pacing colts, stopping the clock in 1:58.2 from the Landon Campbell stable for owners Brady Doyle, Ryan MacLeod, Kent MacDonald and Brent Campbell. Like A King (Barrieau) was second ahead of All My Lovin (David Dowling).

The $6,000 B-divisions were won by Flamin Fredy (Corey MacPherson) in 1:59.4, Bettim Special K (Campbell) in 1:59.2, Starship SLX (Dowling) in 2:02.3 and Prince Malicious (Jason Hughes) in 1:56.4.

Campbell had four winners on the program as he continues his lead in the Francis McIsaac Memorial Standings for top driver of Old Home Week.

Paul Langille tripled up as a trainer-driver.

Live racing continues Thursday evening at 6 P.M. featuring the Atlantic Sires Stakes for two-year-old pacing fillies.
