CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – The Marc Campbell stable is out in full force in the featured Fillies and Mares preferred harness racing pace Saturday afternoon at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
Red Shores will present 11-dashes on Saturday afternoon starting at 12:30 P.M., with the top mares in race 10 of the day vying for a $3,100 purse.
Dreamfair Zenfire faced the boys her last two starts but returns to face off against her peers in the featured pace with Campbell driving his trainee for owners Ryan and Everett MacLeod of Souris.
The Atlantic record holding mare has 14 wins on the year from 22 starts including her scorching 1:52.3 CDP track record. Arc Light (Mark Bradley) has post 2 in the field from the Campbell barn while stablemate Filly Forty Seven (Jason Hughes) has post 5.
Ms Moyse (Adam Merner) has put together a solid season and will leave from post 4 while The Time To Win (Ken Murphy) has rail control and Better Be In Love (Dale Spence) leaves from post 6.
Peter MacPhee likes Dreamfair Zenfire to get it all in the Post Time Picks.

Atlantic Champion Daisy River has rail control in the $2,700 race 8 Open trot for regular pilot Jason Hughes and owner-trainer William Lanigan of Montague. The Nikes Image six-year-old has only missed hitting the tote board in two starts out of 22 all season.
Osprey Delta (Walter Cheverie) is the morning line favourite from post 4 while Freddie (Campbell) has post 5.
Bugsy Maguire Takes On Island’s BestĀ
CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – When the chips are down Bugsy Maguire goes hoof-to-hoof with whoever he faces and will have more top company in the Sunday afternoon featured pace at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
The capital oval has 12-dashes on tap for Sunday afternoon starting at 12:30 P.M. including the $3,400 preferred pace in race 11.
Bugsy Maguire is the morning line favourite in that event with Dale Spence back at the lines for trainer Wade Sorrie and owner Walter Simmons of Summerside. The Bettors Delight seven-year-old has been superb all season finishing in the top-three in 20 starts in 2021 and will look for win number 39 of his career from post 2 on Sunday.
The richest Atlantic bred pacer of all-time, The Rev, has post 3 in the preferred pace with Ken Murphy picking up the drive aboard the Gilles Barrieau trainee. With career earnings of $643,497 lifetime, The Rev was a winner his last start in 1:56.3 with Spence above the wheels.
Screen Test is another top contender from post 5 for the team of driver Corey MacPherson and trainer Ron Gass after finishing second to Time To Dance in last week’s preferred pace. Time To Dance is absent from action this week.
Also in the field are rail-sitter Burn Out Hanover (To be driven by Brady Sweet) and post 4 starter Mc Pat (Adam Merner).
The Post Time Picks in Sunday’s card have Bugsy Maguire in the win position.
“Bugsy Maguire did the unthinkable on Nov. 13, when he rocked off the front and defeated Time To Dance. That top pacer is absent from this field and with post 2 Spence will be pointing Bugsy Maguire for the lead and taking all comers. It’s repeat time.”
Race 2 of the day will see Hold Thumbs N make his Island debut in the $2,350 class for driver Spence and trainer MacKenzie MacInnis of Enmore. The five-year-old Mach Three pacer originated from New Zealand and has been racing the Ontario circuit and previously took a lifetime best of 1:53.3 over The Meadowlands in New Jersey.
