After three straight starts of finishing off the board, Better Be Donna N returned to her harness racing winning ways at Woodbine Mohawk Park Friday evening.

With Dream Dancing (Louis-Philippe Roy) also leaving from post seven and getting the two-hole tuck, Better Be Donna N led the field to the first quarter in n mild :28.4.

Then through the half mile in :57.3, it was all Better Be Donna N as the race favorite, Dabarndawgswatchin and driver Jody Jamieson started up first-over with Majestic Virgin (Jonathan Drury) picking up the second-over cover.

At the three-quarters in 1:25.3, Better Be Donna was still in command as Dabarndawgswatchin kept gaining ground on the lead.

As the field came to the wire, Better Be Donna N still had some left in the tank and went on to win by one and three-quarter lengths in 1:52.4. Dabarndawgswatchin held for second with Majestic Virgin third.
