Revenant (If I Can Dream) swooped past four rivals in the stretch to snag the featured Winners-Over harness racing pace at Northside Downs on Saturday (Jul. 29).
He traveled along in fourth in the first half before taking the third-over spot approaching three-quarters. Rounding into the stretch, Mark Pezzarello fanned the gelding out and put him to a drive. The gelding unfurled his wings and motored in deep stretch, soaring past his opponents to win by a quarter-length in 1:57.3. Elm Grove Qwiggly (Lawrence Snow) was the final bastion and was a close second. A Better Man (Shawn Lynk) emerged from a blanket finish to be third. The winner returned $27.30.
