The Thursday (June 16) Rideau Carleton Raceway card of harness racing is being contested for purse money only due to a lightning strike that hit the grandstand and wiped out satellite communications.
The damage prevented the track from broadcasting its racing and eliminated simulcast and wagering capabilities. The card will be raced as scheduled without betting.
The feature of the card is a Preferred Handicap Trot.
