Rollin Doubles (Roll With Joe), owned by Everett Hansen and Don Stevenson and driven by Stephen Trites won twice on Saturday (Aug. 26) at Connell Park sweeping the harness racing double-dash.
In the first of his two wins, he stopped the clock in 2:05 over the off footing and Rollin Doubles went gate to wire in the victory.
In the finale of the afternoon, he was a winner in the half-mile sprint of :58.3, again for Stephen Trites and trainer Charlie Miles. With the two wins, he now has eight wins on his career.
Top-class of the day went to Therealprincess for catch driver Mike Downey for owner Dr. Mitchell Downey and trainer Ellen Stevenson. It was a sharp 2:01 over the good track.
Other winners on the afternoon included Heart Like A Truck (Ivan Davies), J J Linda (Gerard Gallant) and J J Breanne and Ivan Davies who had two wins on the day.
Racing returns to Connell Park in Woodstock next weekend with the prestigious Milton Downey stake for two-year-old pacers with $ 30,000 in purses, and the Rod Goguen invitational pace for $ 8000.
