Royalty Beer (Royalty For Life) stayed unbeaten in the new year with his third straight wire-to-wire victory as he captured the Preferred Trot at The Raceway at the Western Fair District on Monday (Jan. 20).
He fired to the front and was rated to :29.3, 1:01, and 1:30.1 panels by Samuel Fillion in the -16Ā°C weather. Up by two lengths as he straightened for home, Royalty Beer cruised home to victory by two-and-three-quarter lengths in 2:01. Marvin Hagler (Austin Sorrie) closed for place over Lass Shot (Garrett Rooney).
ROYALTY BEER REPLAY
It was the 21st career win for Royalty Beer, a two-time Quebec champion. The six-year-old is three-for-three in 2025 since returning to Canada from New York for owner/breeder Ecuries Maguire of Sainte-Marie. Jean-Francois Maguire trains the six-year-old, who has earned $338,227 in 76 lifetime outings.
