Saint Antoine (Kadabra) completed a sweep of the Ontario-sired Harvest Series for three-year-old trotting fillies with a coast-to-coast performance in the $45,700 final on Monday (Nov. 21) at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
Scott Young worked the filly to the lead, having her cut the quarter for the first time in her career. She did so in :28.2 and continued to the half in :57. She then responded to Hershey Seelster (James MacDonald) launching out of third by kicking three lengths clear down the stretch.
Saint Antoine held most of that advantage all the way home and broke the beam two-and-three-quarter lengths ahead in a new career best time of 1:54.2.
Hershey Seelster was second-best. Angelwithattitude (Bob McClure) rallied for third. The winner returned $2.50.
