SUMMERSIDE, PE – Saulsbrook Inferno (Flameproof Hanover) remained perfect after P.E.I. Colt Stakes action for two-year-old pacing fillies harness racing action Wednesday evening at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway.

Marc Campbell was in the race bike for the winning steer in her $19,600 P.E.I. Colt Stakes Gold division for rookie pacing fillies, stopping the clock in 1:59.1 to have her undefeated career remain intact after two lifetime starts. Earl Watts trains the filly for owners Windemere Farms, Hollis Newson, Sterling Buchanan and Jack Quinn. Saltwater Swinger (Driven by Mike McGuigan) closed for second ahead of Lorne Valley Liv (Adam Merner).

Lady Hess provided a five-and-three-quarter length romp in the other $19,600 Gold division for rookie fillies with a 1:57.4 mile for driver Merner, trainer Jamie Smith and owner Groupof7 Stable of Charlottetown. Muchtooyoungforyou (Dowling) tracked in the two-hole to finish second with Woodmere Flojo (Corey MacPherson) competing the triactor.

The quartet of $9,800 P.E.I. Colt Stakes Grassroots divisions for two-year-old fillies were claimed by My Happy Place (Gilles Barrieau) in 1:59.2, Howmac Maleficent (Ken Murphy) in 2:00.4, Woodmere Honeymoon (Merner) in 2:01.1 and Tobins Dream (Barrieau) in 2:01.1.

A Grassroots division of the P.E.I. Colt Stakes in race 8 had Lady Llamrei (Merner) make a break and fall to the racing surface at the start. Both horse and driver walked away from the incident without issue.
