Sea Can (Muscle Mass) proved best in the Preferred-2 at Grand River Raceway (Jul. 10) for a back-to-back harness racing victory.
Scott Young parked the gelding fourth as Arrakis (Austin Sorrie) took control in the :27.3 first panel. Sea Can made the first move, going first-up nearing the half in :56.4, and he began to grapple forward on the outside.
Sea Can put the leader into a drive and pulled level heading to three-quarters in 1:25.4. The attacker took over turning for home. Arrakis battled on, but Sea Can forged ahead to take the top trot in 1:55.1.
The closing Kameran Hanover (Chris Christoforou) was second by a length, just beating out the second-over Treasured Tee (Travis Henry).
