Seeyou Men (Muscle Mass) added the taste of victory to his 200-start harness racing milestone celebration as he captured the Preferred-Handicap Trot on Thursday (May 18) at Rideau Carleton Raceway.
The journeyman gelding scored with a two-move effort in line to Guy Gagnon. He first blasted to the lead in a :28.1 first quarter before passing the baton to Donatover (Stephane Brosseau), who cut middle splits of :57.4 and 1:26.1.
Raising Rusty (Stephane Pouliot) attacked from the outside on the last turn, but it was Seeyou Men up the cones who brought down Donatover to win in 1:56.
Donatover was second by three-quarters of a length. Raising Rusty was right there in third.
SEEYOU MEN REPLAY
At the 200-start marker, Seeyou Men has 44 victories and $456,462 in the bank. He has done it all for owners Catheline Pelletier of Mirabel and Chantal Gravel of St-Cyrille-De-Wendover, the latter of which bred the gelding. Guy Gagnon has trained him since 2020.
Gagnon tallied four driving wins on the day and combined three times with trainer Mandy Archer.
The next card at Rideau Carleton is set for Sunday, May 21 with a first post of 6:30 p.m. EDT.
