Stash The Cookies (Sunfire Blue Chip) bounced back from her first off-the-board finish since June with her ninth victory of the season in the Fillies and Mares Preferred victory at Century Mile on Friday (Nov. 15).
The top Alberta mare, driven by Dave Kelly, carved out panels of :27.2, :55.3, and 1:24.3 on the engine, turning for home in control. Outlaw Sharktastic (Nathan Sobey) gave chase down the lane, but Stash The Cookies closed it out to win by a length-and-a-half in 1:52.3. Outlaw Sharktastic was second-best, followed by Outlawabovenbeyond (Mike Hennessy).

Stash The Cookies has won 39 of her 114 career outings and has earned $398,109. John Chappell trains the mare, who has made all 14 of her starts this season at the Preferred level. The eight-year-old is owned by Derek Gilbert of Brandon.
Hennessy and Phil Giesbrecht both drove three winners on the evening.
Century Mile will host its next card on Saturday, Nov. 16 with a first post of 7:30 p.m. MST.
