Two weeks after a strong second against Ontario’s top harness racing males, Tells On A Roll (Tellitlikeitis) won her fifth consecutive Fillies and Mares Preferred at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Friday (Apr. 5).
The mare popped the pocket going through the first turn for Travis Cullen to climb to the lead past the quarter in :27.3. She paced middle splits of :56.1 and 1:23.2 with So Much More (James MacDonald) adding first-over pressure approaching the final turn.
Tells On A Roll edged away by three lengths coming down the lane and wound down nearing the finish, crossing the line a winner in 1:51.3.
So Much More reduced the margin late and finished second by a length-and-a-half over Style For A Mile (Doug McNair).
