Indiana Sires Stakes champion Tells On A Roll (Tellitlikeitis) repeated in the $36,000 Fillies and Mares Preferred at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Saturday (Jan. 26) to remain unbeaten on the year.
The four-year-old raced parked out through the first turn for Travis Cullen to acquire front-end control past the quarter in :26.4. She led to the half in :54.4 and continued unhurried to three-quarters in 1:23.4. She lengthened the advantage to four lengths by mid-stretch, and the late charges ofĀ Shes Got It All (Scott Young) and So Much More (James MacDonald) came up a length short as Tells On A Roll finished the victory in 1:53. Shes Got It All pipped So Much More for place.

Tells On A Roll won the Indiana Sires Stakes Super Final at the end of last season along with two more stakes events at Hoosier Park. She arrived in Ontario in November for new owners Paul Sanders of Surrey and A1stable and Ron Cullen of Dundas. Jodie Cullen trains the four-year-old that is now 11-for-28 lifetime with $384,006 in earnings.
The Saturday card alsoĀ saw the beginning of the Snowshoe Series for three- and four-year-old pacing males. Speaker Of Peace (Artspeak, Scott Young), winner of the Valedictory Series in December, took his third straight in the first division in 1:54.3. Shreddar (Betterthancheddar) captured the second split for driver MacDonald and replicated the clocking. The series will continue with a second leg on Feb. 2 and conclude with a $30,000A final on Feb. 9.
Woodbine Mohawk Park continues racing on Saturday, Jan. 27 at 7:10 p.m. EST. The 12-race card will feature a $36,000 Preferred Pace.
