Meadowbranch Noble (Explosive Matter) reached 10 victories on the harness racing season in the conditioned feature at Rideau Carleton Raceway on Thursday (Oct. 17).
The gelding, a Preferred contender for much of this year, advanced on the outside through the :27.1 first quarter to take the lead for Guy Gagnon. He was unchallenged by four opponents as he cut panels of :57.2 and 1:26.4, and he glided away from them down the stretch to score by two-and-three-quarter lengths in 1:56. Emma Town Bud (Pierre Bovay) finished second from the pocket with Eyes of Justice (Guy Gagnon) completing the ticket.
MEADOWBRANCH NOBLE REPLAY
Meadowbranch Noble is 10-for-31 this season for trainer Mandy Archer, who took over his training when owner Jamie Copley brought him to Rideau Carleton in April. The seven-year-old has racked up 21 career victories and $286,739 in earnings in 132 starts.
Gagnon drove four winners on the nine-race card, two of which were trained by Archer.
Rideau Carleton Raceway will host its next card on Sunday, Oct. 20, beginning at 6:30 p.m. EDT.
