Therealprincess (Source Of Pride) added two more wins to her unbeaten harness racing season in a sweep of her Maritimer elimination and the final on Saturday (Sep. 3) at Exhibition Park.
She wired the first elimination field in 1:59. Corey MacPherson encouraged her home to beat Orrsterror (Gilles Barrieau) by a length. Jj Scarlett (Redmond Doucet) was next best, followed by Ultimate Long Shot (David Dowling).
Couagar On A Terr (Cougar Hall, Don Gillis, Jr.) adopted a similar strategy in her second elimination win. She was a length-and-three-quarters the best in 2:00 over Tobins Diva (Dale Spence). Cantstopthelovin (Dowling) was third over Elm Grove Quest (Todd Trites). Mystical Gal, finishing fifth, was drawn for the final.
Therealprincess then repeated her effort five races later in the final. MacPherson put the filly on top, parked out Tobins Diva (Spence) through :28.1, :57.2, and 1:27 panels, and paced away down the stretch for a three-and-a-quarter-length romp in 1:58.1.
Cougar On A Terr (Gillis) edged Ultimate Long Shot (Paul Langille) for place.
