Armycaptin Hanover (Captaintreacherous) wins his third harness race in a row and does it in the Preferred Pace at Fraser Downs on Friday (Mar. 8) night.
Rod Therres tried getting Armycaptin Hanover to the front but Itll Be Fine (David Hudon) wanted it a bit more. Armycaptin Hanover took cover in the pocket which forced Sunshine Boy (Scott Knight) two-wide to challenge for the lead. After a 27.0 opening quarter, Sunshine Boy finally was able to clear Itll Be Fine and get back to the rail. It was a slow 30.1 second panel and 57.1 first half-mile.
This was also the time for Armycaptin Hanover to make his move. He took the outright lead at the three-quarter mark and never looked back. He finished the mile in 1:52.4 and posted a 28.0 last quarter.
Sunshine Boy held on for second and Itll Be Fine finished third.
