Off the back of a career-best effort, Gator Hanover (Sweet Lou) took the Georgian Downs harness racing feature again on Tuesday (Jul. 9).
The gelding took the lead for Scott Young and carried the field through :28.3, :56.3, and 1:24.4 panels without challenge but came under siege as he entered the stretch. Vis A Vis Blue Chip (Paul Davies), Up Joeys Credit (Jason Ryan), and Procrastinator (Daryl Thiessen) all surged late, but Gator Hanover held on in the four-across finish to win in 1:54.3. Vis A Vis Bluechip was second by a head, narrowly ahead of Up Joeys Credit.
