Stash The Cookies (Sunfire Blue Chip) wired her harness racing opponents for her third straight victory at the top harness racing level of Century Downs in the Fillies and Mares Preferred on Friday (Aug. 30).
The mare defended her rail position and maintained an uncontested lead through :27.2 and :56.1 first-half panels. Outlaw Sharktastic (Nathan Sobey) bit the bullet and commenced a first-over advance at the half, reaching the leaderās wheel at three-quarters in 1:24.
Stash The Cookies quickly dismissed that rival, took off by two-and-a-half lengths on the final turn, and held off the rallying If Only Id Known (Mike Hennessy) to win by a length in 1:52.4.
If Only Id Known finished second, a length ahead of Grey Sea (Tyler Redwood) in third.
