CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Time To Dance continued to reassemble his string of harness racing dominance as he vanquished his foes in Saturday’s Cecil Ladner Memorial Invitational at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
Marc Campbell was aggressive from the start with Time To Dance in the $6,000 Ladner Memorial as the driver hustled his trainee to the lead past the 27.3 opening quarter set by Bugsy Maguire (Driven by Brodie MacPhee). Time To Dance set down on the lead and went through splits of 56.3 and 1:26.1 while fighting off the first-over Day Delight (Gilles Barrieau) on a rain soaked track rated two-seconds off.
Time To Dance kicked clear in the stretch drive to win by a length in 1:55.2 with Day Delight second and Mc Pat (Ken Murphy) third. The winning horse recorded his second straight victory and 21st lifetime for owners Brent Campbell of Charlottetown and Matt McDonald of Edwards, Ont.
