Two-year-old Tobins Profit (Stonebridge Terror) stayed unbeaten with a fifth career harness racing victory in the Atlantic Sires Stakes A for freshman pacing males on Wednesday (Aug. 10) at Inverness Raceway.
He was forced five-wide on the first turn but pressed on for driver Jason Hughes to take the lead before completing the first quarter in :30.1. The gelding paced 1:00.1 and 1:30.4 middle fractions and kicked away down the stretch to score by two-and-a-half lengths in 1:59.4.
Bacononabiscuit (Marc Campbell) made no impact from the pocket. Howmac Charmer (Myles Heffernan, Sr.) finished third.
Tobins Profit is now undefeated through five career starts. He debuted in a conditioned race and has won three divisions of the Atlantic Sires Stakes as well as one P.E.I. Colt Stakes dash. Daniel Romo trains the gelding, a $25,000 Atlantic Classic Sale purchase, for Kevin Dorey of Middle Sackville, Frank Brundle of East Garafraxa, and Robert Sumarah of Halifax.

Malignity (Malicious) dominated the first division; he won by 11-and-a-quarter lengths in 1:57 for trainer/driver Paul Langille. No Boats On Sunday (Heffernan) was a clear second. Nibbler (Campbell) finished third.
MALIGNITY REPLAY
Malignity sports the same record as Tobins Profit since finishing fourth on debut. He has won the first three Atlantic Sires Stakes legs and a P.E.I. Colt Stakes division, making him four-for-five with $21,938 in earnings. Debbie Francis of Sweets Corner and Rosanne Langille of Lower Onslow share ownership of the gelding.
The two-year-old fillies contested their Atlantic Sires Stakes third leg on the card, beginning with a coast-to-coast maiden-breaking victory for Entitled Express (Stonebridge Terror, Campbell) in 1:59.2. Redland Misspretty (Corey MacPherson) finished second after a final-turn assault fell short. Howmac Jazzy Girl (Damian MacLellan) was third.
ENTITLED EXPRESS REPLAY
Entitled Express broke stride in two previous starts and finished fifth in another, putting her record at one-for-four lifetime. Campbell conditions the homebred for Danica Ellis, who co-owns the filly with Mark Dean. Both live in Brookfield.
Woodmere Jade (Rollwithitharry) took a second straight Atlantic Sires Stakes win in the second division. She held off Howmac Julia (Hughes) for the 2:01 victory with Heffernan at the lines Rosetown Mary (MacPherson) finished third.

Woodmere Jade was an $18,000 Atlantic Classic sale purchase for Jackie Heffernan of Glace Bay. Myles Heffernan, Sr. trains the filly, who is now two-for-four lifetime and has earned $10,701.
Gosistersoulsister (Arthur Blue Chip) commanded the final division from the front-end for MacPherson and won in 2:01.3. Woodmere Macarena (Langille) chased the winner from second. Lookoveryour (Campbell) finished third.
GOSISTERSOULSISTER REPLAY
Gosistersoulsister has been successful in two of four attempts in her rookie season. She was a winner on debut in an Atlantic Sires Stakes B division but broke in her next two outings. Jamie Smith trains the filly for Groupof7 Stable of Charlottetown, who bought her for $23,000 at the Atlantic Classic Sale.
The Atlantic Sires Stakes resumes on Aug. 13 at Charlottetown with the three-year-old pacing fillies in action.
Racing will by back at Inverness at 1:00 p.m. ADT on Sunday, Aug. 14.
