A Positive Hanover doubled his tally in the Preferred 3 ranks at Dresden Raceway on Thursday for two consecutive wins.
Sole proprietor Donnie Rankin set up his first of three wins on the day as he placed his stallion third briefly before brushing to the top in a :29.3 first quarter mile. The reinsman rated A Positive Hanover through 1:01.4 and 1:31.3 middle splits before sealing the win over a closing Leafs And Wings in 2:01 (Jonathan Hahn). Leafs And Wings finished second; Insincerity (Garrett Rooney) was third.
Rankin owns, trains, and drives A Positive Hanover, a four-year-old son of Captaintreacherous. The stallion, who returned $3.90 to his backers, has earned $73,966 and won nine times in 33 lifetime outings.

Rankin later completed a triple with his horses. Dragon Teen destroyed his foes by nine and a half lengths with a 2:03.1 timing in the sixth race, his first start for Rankin since the Amherstburg horseman purchased the colt in June. See The Delight, also trained and owned by him, won the finale in 2:02.
Marc St. Louis matched his success in the bike with three wins.
Dresden Raceway allowed spectators to visit the track with COVID-19 restrictions in place. It is the first time fans have attended live racing in the trackās current meet.
The oval will see action again on Sunday, Jul. 5.
