Trey Colbeck joins Harnesslink

Harnesslink is pleased to announce that Trey Colbeck has joined the team and will be covering Canadian harness racing as one of our new contributors.

Trey has been the track announcer for the last three years at Miami Fair which is located just an hour outside of Winnipeg, Man. He’s lined up to be the inaugural track announcer at Manitoba’s newest racetrack, the Loop. He has also worked the past two summers as an intern at Standardbred Canada where he wrote about current Canadian harness racing news stories, and he currently sits on the executive board of the United States Harness Writers Association Canada Chapter as secretary.

The 27-year-old Manitoba native is a rhetoric and communications student at the University of Winnipeg and is on pace to finish his studies in the spring of 2023. He considers himself an overall sports fan and does not turn down many opportunities to take in any sporting event. His main passions outside of harness racing include football, baseball, curling, and thoroughbred racing.

Trey is a proud father of three boys who all enjoy a nice day out at the racetrack. Trey is very excited to bring his love and passion for the amazing sport of harness racing to the team and we are equally excited to have him.
