He stepped away from the gate fastest for Jody Jamieson and held the lead into the first turn before 1/5 favourite Many Moons (James MacDonald) motored past before hitting the quarter mile pole in :26.4. Many Moons carved out a :55.2 half and 1:24.1 three-quarter time with True Blue Lindy, whom he defeated in the first leg of the series, close behind.

Jamison activated True Blue Lindy on the final turn, pulling the Always B Miki gelding to the outside and challenging the leader. True Blue Lindy glided past Many Moons easily at the top of the stretch and kept late closers Nautical Hanover (Bob McClure) and Atlas Hanover (Doug McNair) at bay to capture the series final by three quarters of a length. Nautical Hanover took place, finishing quicker than Atlas Hanover, who settled for show.

The win price was $7.40.

TRUE BLUE LINDY REPLAY

True Blue Lindy is now three-for-five lifetime with more than $65,000 in earnings. Carl Jamieson trains the horse he purchased for $25,000 from the Lexington Select sale and co-owns with William Loyens of London and Trever Edwards of Kirkton. Lindy Farms Of Connecticut bred the horse.

The annual stake series, named after Dream Maker, has been a stepping stone for stars such as Control The Moment and Tall Dark Stranger.

Woodbine Mohawk Park returns with racing action on Tuesday, Aug. 10 at 7:00 p.m. EDT.
